The HiSilicon Kirin 960 is a high-performance SoC designed to power premium smartphones and tablets, delivering robust performance and advanced features. Announced in October 2016, it is built using a 16-nanometer FinFET process technology, ensuring an excellent balance of power efficiency and strong performance for a variety of mobile applications.
The Kirin 960 features an octa-core CPU configuration with a big.LITTLE architecture. It includes four high-performance ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz for demanding tasks and four power-efficient ARM Cortex-A53 cores running at up to 1.8 GHz for everyday activities. This setup ensures smooth multitasking and optimized power consumption, providing both exceptional performance and extended battery life.
For graphics, the Kirin 960 integrates the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU, delivering excellent performance for gaming and high-definition multimedia applications. The GPU supports advanced graphics APIs and offers smooth, high-frame-rate visuals, enhancing the overall user experience.
