The HiSilicon Kirin 650 is a mid-range SoC designed to deliver balanced performance and efficiency for smartphones and tablets. Announced in early 2016, it is built using a 16-nanometer FinFET process technology, which enhances power efficiency and performance for a variety of mobile applications.
The Kirin 650 features an octa-core CPU configuration with four high-performance ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A53 cores running at up to 1.7 GHz. This arrangement ensures good performance for demanding tasks while maintaining energy efficiency for everyday activities.
For graphics, the Kirin 650 integrates the ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU, providing adequate performance for gaming and multimedia applications. The GPU supports modern graphics APIs and delivers smooth visuals and responsive rendering, enhancing the user experience for casual gaming and media consumption.
The SoC includes support for Cat 6 LTE, enabling download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. This ensures fast and reliable mobile internet connectivity. Additionally, the Kirin 650 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and various positioning systems, providing comprehensive wireless connectivity options.
