The Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G is a mid-range SoC designed to deliver premium performance and advanced features to smartphones, announced in January 2020. Utilizing an 8-nanometer process technology, it offers a balanced mix of efficiency and power, making it suitable for gaming, multimedia, and AI-driven applications.
The Snapdragon 720G features an octa-core CPU configuration, with two high-performance Kryo 465 Gold cores clocked at up to 2.3 GHz and six power-efficient Kryo 465 Silver cores running at up to 1.8 GHz. This setup ensures strong performance for demanding tasks while maintaining excellent power efficiency for everyday activities.
For graphics, the Snapdragon 720G integrates the Adreno 618 GPU, which delivers robust performance for gaming and high-definition multimedia. It supports advanced gaming features such as HDR gaming, high frame rates, and efficient rendering, ensuring a smooth and immersive visual experience.
The chipset includes Qualcomm’s Hexagon 692 DSP, enhancing AI capabilities with support for a wide range of AI applications like real-time image processing, voice recognition, and intelligent camera features. The AI engine significantly boosts the overall responsiveness and intelligence of the device.
In terms of connectivity, the Snapdragon 720G is equipped with the Snapdragon X15 LTE modem, offering download speeds of up to 800 Mbps.
