MediaTek Helio P20

The MediaTek Helio P20 is an upper mid-range ARM-based System-on-Chip (SoC) designed for smartphones, primarily those running Android. Introduced in 2016, this chipset is fabricated using a 16nm FinFET process, which enhances power efficiency and performance.

The Helio P20 features an octa-core CPU configuration consisting of eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.3 GHz. This setup provides a balanced mix of performance and power efficiency, making it well-suited for handling everyday tasks as well as more demanding applications.

For graphics processing, the Helio P20 includes an ARM Mali-T880 MP2 GPU, which offers solid performance for gaming and multimedia applications. The GPU supports modern graphics APIs, delivering smooth and responsive visuals.

The SoC supports LPDDR4X memory, which operates at high speeds while consuming less power compared to its predecessors, contributing to the overall efficiency of devices powered by the Helio P20. This memory support ensures fast data access and smooth multitasking capabilities.

In terms of connectivity, the Helio P20 comes with an integrated LTE Cat 6 modem, supporting download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. This ensures fast and reliable mobile internet connectivity. The chipset also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS, offering comprehensive connectivity options.

Additionally, the Helio P20 is equipped with an advanced Image Signal Processor (ISP) that supports up to 24MP single cameras or dual-camera setups, enhancing photography and video capabilities with features like real-time HDR and multi-frame noise reduction.
